YAY!!! So I have a bit of a confession to make..... shhh. I am a little...ok alot... technologically impaired. It is somewhat of a sad state to be in when you rely on websites and blogs and changing camera equipment. Thankfully, though, I have an amazing husband who is my personal IT guy. HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO BRADLEY =) But sometimes he is busy and I am left to my own devices. Which is why it took me the last 6 months to figure out how to make and put a video on this very blog. But it has finally been done! And I couldn't be more proud.You will notice a new page called PORTFOLIO. And that is where, from now on, you can check out my boudoir portfolio. It is just a way to check out the goods without having to go through all the blog posts....... But, you should probably check them out too, since there is lots of awesome extra stuff. Boudoir Marathons | Edmonton & Red Deer Boudoir Photographers

This Summers Boudoir Marathons !!!!!It's a new summer and I think we are all more then ready to see the sun reappear and watch the snow vanish. I can already feel all this Vitamin D doing wonders for my creativity!!! My mind has been flooded with new ideas for shoots and I am so excited to share the dates for this summer's upcoming Boudoir Marathons in Edmonton & Red Deer! Including some exciting NEW Outdoor Sessions!! Yup, in addition to the indoor marathons, Karmen Meyer Photography will be hosting two ‘Au Natural’ DESIRE Boudoir Marathons this summer in the Lacombe area.Just picture it; an antique bed placed out in a quiet forest, the light pouring in through the rustling leaves. Perfection. I can not begin to tell you how excited I am about this!There are a limited spaces available for each shoot, but don't worry, if you can't get in or if none of these dates work for you we can always schedule an individual session. Tory & Kara-Dawn {inLove} | Edmonton & Destination Wedding Photographers

Good Morning Everyone!!! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I just wanted to share a sneakpeek from a shoot I did last week with Kara-Dawn & Tory!We met for the first time the day of the shoot on Tory's parents' farm in Usona {whew that's almost a tongue twister}. We were greeted by crisp spring air, noisy cattle and Tory's super sweet parents. I could tell immediately that Kara-Dawn & Tory were wonderful people and that we were gonna have a blast to shooting. And well, not to brag or anything but, I was right. I really hope you guys love your photos, I cannot wait to send you the rest!!! ENJOY!!Truly,Karmen P.S. O and I want to say thanks sooo much to Diane Herron for second shooting on this shoot. You were fantastic. Diane is a student who is in her Second Year of the NAIT Photographic Technology program {yup, the same course I graduated from last year!!} and came to hang out with me for a week as part of her required 2 week work experience. I was shocked when she asked and I worked hard to persuade her to go elsewhere {somewhere she might stand a chance of learning something useful haha} but she stood her ground and we had a great week together. She is fantastic photographer and I can't wait to see where this sometimes crazy career takes her =) Good luck Diane!

I am very, very happy to share with you today some photos of a few of my most favorite people. The DeGroot's are an amazing family, each and every one them have hearts as big as they come and a Faith that is truly inspiring. When Heidi (one of my very best-est friends!) asked if I would be interested in shooting some family photos for their Parent's 30th Anniversary I was super excited. We were a bit limited when it came to locations because of the cold and Ryan's wheelchair, but honestly it wouldn't have mattered where we shot the photos; it really is their joy and love for each other that makes these photos amazing.
